Finally, the show America’s Got Talent got some … HOWARD STERN !

I love Howard, I’ve listened to him since the early 90′s when he was finally syndicated in my area. Sure, he’s often crude and overtly sexual, but the man is funny and is one of the greatest interviewers around. Who else has the balls to ask celebrities the things we all want to know? Oh admit it, you want to know how big Clooney’s wang is. Who doesn’t? Not to mention that he is surrounded by amazingly talented people like Robin Quivers, Fred Norris, and Gary Dell’Abate, to name just a few. And since his move to Sirius satellite radio in 2005 he has not only gotten away from the oppressive rules of the FCC, he has gotten better, bolder and has finally been able to have the guests we all want to hear from. Celebrity guest abound, and the antics of the Wack Pack could put any reality tv show to shame. How can you deny the thrill of hearing George Takei’s “Oh my!” and the always entertaining calls from Maryanne from Brooklyn, Wendy the Retard, and Eric the Midget Actor ?

I was really surprised at the backlash from so many people and some of the things I saw on Twitter and FB about the Howard’s new gig …

“I hate Howard Stern ! I won’t ever watch that show again! ” “Have you ever listened to him, seen his movie Private Parts, read his books?” “Well, no.” “Then how can you hate him?” *crickets*

One person told me that they didn’t like him because her kids couldn’t listen to him. Well sorry, but everything in the world is not and shouldn’t be just for your kids. She then said that she had only heard him once for just a few minutes, back in the 90′s when she was riding in a friend’s car. And then swore she wouldn’t watch the show or allow her 3 children to do so either. Oh ok. But it’s ok to judge someone over actions from over a decade ago and teach your kids to dislike something or someone without giving them a chance ? Makes sense. In Stupid-Ville.

I am telling y’all now, and mark my words, AGT will be a bigger hit in it’s next season than ever before, simply because of The King Of All Media. And now I’m gonna have to start watching it too.

And if you don’t like it? If Howard doesn’t change your mind? Change the channel.
