Goodbye …
Goodbye 390 Knightsbridge … thanks for the memories.
If you’re new here, this was mine and Gregory’s home. I am involved in a probate court battle with greedy urchins and was forced to move out and sell the home by the court. This was in October of 2010. The house finally sold today. So the wheels on the probate bus, while not going round and round, are at least getting a little air in their tires. However, a long battle still awaits. It’s a bittersweet feeling. Glad for the progress, sad for what should have been.
Bloggers at Work
Laurin has a great meme going on today called “Bloggers at Work – How Do You Do What You Do ?” where bloggers post their personal blog/internet/work space. I thought it was pretty cool and a way to show people that I am not in fact posting from some hoarder’s heaven but from a real house. Heh. Pardon the mess.
Most of the time, I am in my home office on my iMac, TV on, surrounded by terriers. Out the blinds is my front yard and our neighborhood is pretty high, and during the winter I can look out and see across towards Birmingham. To my left is a bookcase full of books and knick -knacks, and behind me is a leather chair and ottoman where I watch TV sometimes. Next to that is a smaller wooden roll-top desk that was my granny’s where I keep mail, stuff to do and assorted paperwork and junk . I call it messy desk. There’s also the obligatory cork board on the wall with a calendar and place where I put appointment cards, reminders, and stuff I think is cool.
I don’t know why I don’t have a picture of my entire bookcase, but here’s a smidge of it …..
I also use my iPad quite a bit now, so much so that I don’t even have a MacBook anymore. I usually use it in the kitchen while I’m cooking, eating or whatever. The dogs follow me in there too. That’s where the cheese lives. I also use it in the media room.
When the weather is nice I sit out on my front steps and look out while the boys run around in the yard. There’s an iron chair out there that rocks and is comfortable, usually I just Tweet or answer emails from here. You can’t really see the chair in this pic, but you get the idea.
Of course normally I’m looking at this…
“Is it time for cheese yet?”
So that’s where I “work” at home. I can’t post pictures of where I really work for real, but I don’t blog from there so I guess it doesn’t really count.
Thanks for stopping by, please comment and do the meme as well so I can see where you work !
