So I left on Saturday for my cruise vacay and got to spend a little bit of time in my favorite city, New Orleans. Didn’t really have time to go out to my favorite areas, so I stuck close to the hotel and the Quarter.

Started off the evening with cocktails at Pat O’s then dinner at ACME Oyster House, my dad’s fave……

Walked around for a bit and went to see my two favorite artists in Jackson Square. Well, one. My other favorite artist was spending a bit of time at central lockup for public intoxication. Catch ya next time Rick !

Went back to Bourbon and got a few HUGE ASS BEERS.

Apparently my cup had a leak in it. Heh.

Began a lovely Easter Sunday with my favorite NOLA breakfast food, eggs benedict and a few mimosas. You want good eggs? Begues at The Royal Sonesta…NOM !

Only in NOLA will you see the Easter Bunny walking down Royal Street in jeans and a sport coat.

And then Mrs. Bunny, I assume…..they were on their way to Brennan’s for brunch.

I’m not sure what this is but man oh man do I love this city …..

Then it was off to the port to get on the ship !

I was so glad that upon boarding they already had my frame of mind reflected by the clock …..

And that they had my flavor of beer ! Yay !

We waited under the shadows of the Mississippi River bridge to depart ……

Then we were off, lazing along the river and passing landmarks and places in which I have made so many memories ….

Mom enjoyed the views …

And we left my city behind and headed down towards the gulf …..

And said goodbye another day , and hello to a new adventure.
