I love that you’re you. That I can read this, in the middle of the night, and you help me find my words. For the pain and the lost and ugly yucky things that I have no words for and it is so so comforting.

You’re honest, sometimes, gut wrenchingly painfully and brutally honest…but you’re real. you’re sincere. you’re not afraid to say it hurts, and it sucks, and you can kiss it.

You’re strong, and you remind me to be strong. Completely separate and unrelated situations but I look at you and I think, what an inspiration. You remind me that there are good cops.

and you have some damn good taste in art.

Here’s the deal about you. We are having a mini-Mann family reunion with my mom who will turn 87 on Tuesday. My sister, Caroline, who reads you, and I were telling our family about you. Your two significant losses: your beloved Gregory, and your wonderful father, do not define you. You aren’t playing “the victim card.” You are an independent woman, sharing your experiences, moving on, yet…the love of those two men FOR you seem to give you courage.
