Obviously, this year has been Do.Not.Want.

Bullet List of the bad for you new folks….

• My husband died.
• My father died.
• Other relatives died.
• Probate Court and the Dreaded Bureaucracy of Death.
• Many friends had divorces, health and employment problems and deaths in their lives too.
• An illegal uninsured alien hit my new car.
• A tree in my yard was blown over onto my neighbors cars, totaling them both.
• I turned 40. In Alabama. I was supposed to be in a tropical paradise.

The Good…..

• Good friends that came to Alabama to help me celebrate being 40.
• Good friends that were here “just because” and because they are the kind of people you can count on.
• My job. Thank you Steve Jobs.
• All of my Twitter, FB and Bloggy friends who I have come to love and who have shown the TRUE support that I have needed to get through the hell of 2009.
• My family, including my two furry four-legged Terrorists.
• The time and good memories that I had with Gregory and my Daddy, that also helped me through.
• The New York Yankees and The New Orleans Saints.

So there were a few bright spots in an otherwise dank, dark and depressing 2009.

I plan to welcome 2010 with open arms, great expectations and my foot ready to stick up it’s behind if it sucks the hope that things have got to get better.
